Hi everyone, I’m Dog Ted, the owner of TIA Collection Corals. I’ve been in reefing since 2008, and we’re a small team that is genuinely passionate about collecting, growing, and sharing corals.
I’m happy to see ReefnBid building a community where reefers and sellers can connect beyond the auctions. We’ll share some of our experiences, coral care tips, and things we’ve learned over the years.
We recently published two new articles:
A 7-Year SPS Reef Tank That’s Still Running (350 Gallons)
SPS Pest Control: Dipping Is Not Enough
Hope you find them helpful. Looking forward to meeting more reefers here and seeing everyone’s tanks and favorite corals.
Thanks for sharing your routine! I couldn’t agree more with you and that’s why I plan on setting up and maintaining a quarantine system for my new tank. It’s so important to observe closely for a period of time (1 month is probably a good length of time). I think with the prevalence of white bugs, preventative interceptor treatment is almost a must. IMO, it can be avoided only in situations where the corals are truly thriving with excellent color and polyp extension while in QT. Any acro that’s not looking it’s best, you should assume it’s white bugs until proven otherwise. They are SO hard to spot
