If you’re buying, it’s easy. When you get to the Review Order screen at checkout, you’ll see a spot to add a coupon code. Type it in, hit apply, and the discount comes off your total before you pay. Change your mind? You can take it back off or swap in a different one. Nothing’s locked in until you actually pay.
If you’re selling, you can make your own codes. Head to Finance, then Coupons, and hit Create coupon. You decide how it works: take a percentage off or a flat dollar amount, open it up to everyone or just a handful of specific customers, set a minimum spend, cap how many times it can be used (or limit it to one per person), and give it a start and end date if you only want it running for a while. There’s also a button to generate a random code if you’d rather not think one up.
A few small things worth knowing: the discount comes off the items, not shipping. You can only use one code per order. And if an order gets fully refunded, that use goes back so it isn’t wasted.
