Verified Checkout is a one time setup that lets you bid with confidence. You add your shipping and payment details once, and after that you can bid on anything without stopping to check out each time. Your details are handled securely by Stripe. ReefnBid and sellers never see or store your card number, and it is only used if you win.
Why we ask you to verify first
Once you are verified, there is nothing else to do. You can bid freely, and you are only charged after a seller confirms your order. Sellers cannot change the amount you won at, so the price you see is the price you pay.
How to get verified
- Log in to your ReefnBid account.
- Go to Account Overview.
- Open the Wallet tab.
- Enter your shipping and payment details.
- Save. That is it, you are ready to bid.
Messaging sellers
Verifying also unlocks messaging. You need a verified payment method to message sellers, which keeps spammers and scammers out and protects real buyers and sellers. If you try to message a seller before you are verified, you will be asked to verify your payment method first. Once you are set up, you can message any seller right away.
What happens after you win
When you win, the listing shows as Won and an order is created with a Processing status. If you win more than one item from the same seller, those wins are combined into a single order.
The seller then reviews your order before charging it. Think of it like closing a tab at a bar. Your card is only charged once the seller confirms. After payment you get a confirmation email, the seller ships on your chosen date, and the order is marked Fulfilled.
Choosing your shipping date
You can set or change your preferred shipping date before or after you bid. If you do not pick one, it defaults to the seller’s next available shipping day.
